MIDAFUR ® FOLIAR 600is a systemic insecticide of the Nitroguanidine group, whose careless use can cause contamination damage. It acts by ingestion and contact for the control of insects that invade crops. Imidacloprid acts systemically, by contact and ingestion. Its action is based on an interaction in the transmission
of stimuli in the nervous system of insects. In the same way as acetylcholine acts, which is a natural chemical transmitter of nerve impulses, Imidacloprid excites certain nerve cells by attacking a receptor protein. Unlike acetylcholine which can be rapidly cleaved by the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, Imidacloprid cannot be
cleaved, or the process proceeds slowly. The prolonged effect of MIDAFUR ® FOLIAR 600 disrupts the nervous system of insects, ultimately causing death.
